Use the Mailbox Features tab to enable or disable a variety of mailbox features for the mailbox user. You can also change configuration settings for Exchange ActiveSync and Unified Messaging (UM) by selecting the feature from the list, and then clicking Properties.
The following features are available for a mailbox user.
- Outlook Web Access

- Select this setting, and then click Enable to allow the
user to access the mailbox from a Web browser by using
Microsoft Outlook Web Access.
- Select this setting and then click Disable to prevent
access to the mailbox from a Web browser.
Note: The Properties button is not available for the Outlook Web Access feature. - To learn more about Outlook Web Access, see Overview of Outlook Web

Note: By default, all mailbox users in your Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 organization are allowed to use Outlook Web Access to access their mailboxes.
- Select this setting, and then click Enable to allow the
user to access the mailbox from a Web browser by using
Microsoft Outlook Web Access.
- Exchange ActiveSync

- Select this setting, and then click Enable to allow the
user to access the mailbox from a mobile device.
- Select this setting, and then click Disable to prevent
access to the mailbox from a mobile device.
- Select this setting, and then click Properties to open
the Exchange ActiveSync Properties dialog box. Use this
dialog box to apply an Exchange ActiveSync mailbox policy to
the mailbox. For more information about this dialog box, see

Note: By default, all mailbox users in your Exchange 2007 organization are allowed to use mobile devices to access their mailboxes.
- Select this setting, and then click Enable to allow the
user to access the mailbox from a mobile device.
- Unified Messaging

- Select this setting, and then click Properties to open
the Unified Messaging Properties dialog box.
Note: The Properties button is available only if UM is enabled for this mailbox.
Note: The Enable and Disable buttons are not available for the UM feature because you cannot enable or disable UM from the Mailbox Features tab. To enable or disable UM, select the Recipient Configuration node or the Mailbox node under Recipient Configuration. Select the mailbox in the result pane and then, in the action pane, click Enable Unified Messaging or Disable Unified Messaging. - To learn more about UM, see Unified

- Select this setting, and then click Properties to open
the Unified Messaging Properties dialog box.
- MAPI

- Select this setting, and then click Enable to allow the
user to access the mailbox from a MAPI client such as
Microsoft Outlook.
- Select this setting, and then click Disable to prevent
access to the mailbox from MAPI clients.
