The Disable-OutlookAnywhere cmdlet disables Outlook Anywhere on the computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 that has the Client Access server role installed.
Running the Disable-OutlookAnywhere cmdlet prevents the Client Access server from accepting requests from Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and Office Outlook 2003 clients from the Internet by using Outlook Anywhere, also known as RPC over HTTP.

Detailed Description
The Disable-OutlookAnywhere cmdlet disables Outlook Anywhere on the Exchange 2007 Client Access server. Running the Disable-OutlookAnywhere cmdlet prevents the Client Access server from accepting requests from Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 clients from the Internet by using Outlook Anywhere, also known as RPC over HTTP.

| After you run this cmdlet, it can take as long as an hour for
the settings to become effective. The time that is required depends
on how long it takes for Active Directory to replicate. After the Client Access server has been disabled for Outlook Anywhere, you may want to remove the Windows RPC over HTTP proxy Windows networking component. |
To run the Disable-OutlookAnywhere cmdlet, the account you use must be delegated the Exchange Server Administrator role and membership in the local Administrators group for the target server.
