Use the IP Block List feature to enable or disable the IP Block list on the local computer that has the Edge Transport server role installed and to access the properties for the IP Block list.

IP Block lists are administrator-defined IP addresses and IP address ranges that are acted on by the Connection Filter agent. If an originating IP address matches an IP address or IP address range on the IP Block list, the Connection Filter agent disconnects the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) session after all RCPT TO: headers in the message are processed.

Enable or Disable

To enable or disable the IP Block list, in the action pane, click Enable or Disable.

Properties

To designate IP addresses that are not able to submit messages to this server and to manage the list of blocked IP addresses, in the action pane, click Properties. For more information, see Edge Transport > Anti-Spam > IP Block List Properties > Blocked Addresses Tab (RTM).
