In Exchange 2000, Dynamic distribution groups do not exist in Exchange 2000. Because your GAL was created in Exchange 2000, the dynamic distribution groups are not recognized. Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003 GALs use the LDAP filtering method and Exchange 2007 uses the OPATH filtering method.

To resolve this issue, you must upgrade the GAL to Exchange 2007. For detailed instructions, see How to Upgrade Default Address Lists from LDAP Filters to OPATH Filters.

Note:
After you upgrade the GAL, you must update the GAL so that the changes can take effect. For more information see, How to Update a Global Address List.
