After you run the Remove Deployment Wizard, you must continue the decommissioning process by using Topology Builder to publish the infrastructure changes that the Remove Deployment Wizard affected to create the minimal topology with only the Central Management Server. When you publish a topology, changes are written to the Central Management store.

You must use the Remove Deployment Wizard. Manually editing a topology file to create the empty topology required to remove the deployment is not supported. |

In Save Topology As, type a name for the topology document in File name, and then click Save.
-
In the console tree, right-click Lync Server 2010, and then click Publish Topology.
-
On the Publish the topology page, click Next.
-
When the Publishing wizard completes, click Finish.
-
If the message One or more application or external servers have been deleted appears, click Yes to All.
-
View log files for errors or warnings, and retain the log files in case you need to escalate for support.
Next, verify that replication has finished, as described in Verify Replication of Changes to Central Management Store, Servers, and Services.
