The Organization Information pane allows you to specify the name of your organization and an organizational unit (OU) (usually the division or department) requesting the certificate. The information that you input in the Organization and the Organizational Unit text boxes appears on the certificate and are used to identify who requested the certificate when the certificate is viewed by others.

Note:
The OU name on a certificate is not the same as an OU in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). Depending on how you have configured Active Directory Domain Service (AD DS), the name that you use might or might not be the same. For the purposes of certificates, the two are not connected.
