You must perform the following steps on each computer on which a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 server role was installed, EXCEPT FOR the Central Management Server. To remove Lync Server 2010 files specific to the server role, run the Lync Server Deployment Wizard. The Lync Server Deployment Wizard removes Lync Server 2010 files, except for the Lync Server 2010, Core Components which are used by the Lync Server Deployment Wizard. Remove the Lync Server 2010, Core Components after the Lync Server Deployment Wizard has finished.
Warning: |
---|
Do not remove the Lync Server 2010, Core Components from the server that holds the Central Management Server role. |
Important: |
---|
When you remove a role or change the configuration of a computer in Lync Server Deployment Wizard, the changes must replicate to the servers in your topology. If the replication is not complete, the Lync Server Deployment Wizard may not remove the files and deactivate the server. You must confirm that replication has been successful before proceeding. For details, see Confirm Local Configuration Store Replication Status. |
Note: |
---|
The following files, which are not specific to Lync Server
2010, will not be removed:
|
The process of removing the installed files reverses the changes made during installation. Registry entries, most directories under the Program Files directory, and local users created by the installation of the packages are removed, which limits the amount of clean up.
