Microsoft Lync 2010 Phone Edition device logs remain on the device until they are uploaded to the Logs folder unless the device encounters an error that causes it to shut down. In that case, the device first attempts to upload its CE Logs and any Watson data. As long as the device is running normally, Lync 2010 Phone Edition log files must be manually uploaded from the device, as described later in this topic.
Device logs have a .clg file extension and can be read by extracting the log file contents to a text file by using the ReadLog.exe tool that is included with Windows Embedded CE. For details, see the Windows Embedded CE website at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=139092.
