Microsoft Transporter relies upon the capabilities of both the Lotus Notes client (on the computer where Transporter is installed) and the Lotus Domino servers. To provide the best experience, the following versions are supported for Transporter.
Lotus Domino Supported Versions
Interoperability (SMTP mail routing, Directory Connector and Free/Busy Connector) requires Lotus Domino 6.x or 7.x. Interoperability requires fixes that Lotus implemented in HTML and iCal in these versions.
Domino 5 does not render HTML or iCal well enough to be supported for interoperability with these tools. Lotus Domino 5 environments should use the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Connectors for interoperability.
Migration (Directory, mail and applications) tasks will work with Lotus Domino 5.x, 6.x, and 7.x.
Lotus Notes Supported Versions
Transporter requires a Lotus Notes client to perform various tasks. Whenever Lotus Notes is referred to in this documentation, the supported versions are Lotus Notes 6.x and 7.x. Lotus Notes 5.x should not be installed on the computer running Transporter.
