Before you begin testing, you must configure all of the Web browsers that will be used in your tests. In particular, you must disable the pop-up blocker for all browsers and, if applicable, configure Internet Explorer for automatic logon. To test Quick Sign-In, you must configure Internet Explorer for automatic logon.
To disable the popup blocker in Firefox

Log on to a computer in your organization as a member of the local Administrators group.

Start the Firefox Web browser.

In Firefox, click Toolsand then click Options.

In the Optionsdialog box, on the Contenttab, clear Block pop-up windowsand then click OK.
To disable the popup blocker in Safari

Log on to a computer in your organization as a member of the local Administrators group.

Start the Safari Web browser.

In Safari, click Safariand then clear Block Pop-Up Windows.
To disable the popup blocker in and to configure Internet Explorer for automatic logon

Log on to a computer in your organization as a member of the local Administrators group.

Open the Internet Propertiesdialog box by choosing Internet Optionseither from Control Panel or from the Toolsmenu in Internet Explorer.

In the Internet Propertiesdialog box, on the Securitytab, click and then click Custom Level.

In the Security Settingsdialog box, under Logon, select Automatic logon only in Intranet zoneand then click OK.

Still in the Internet Propertiesdialog box and with Local intranetstill selected, click Sites.

In the Local intranetdialog box, click Advanced.

In the next dialog box (also titled Local intranet), type the URL of your Communicator Web Access site (for example, https://im.contoso.com) in the Add this Web site to the zonebox and then click Add.

In the Local intranetdialog box, click OK.

In the original Local intranetdialog box, click OK.

In the Internet Propertiesdialog box, click OK.
