IIS Requirements for External Access

The service account used by the Web Conferencing Edge service on Edge Servers to allow anonymous access to on-premises conference meetings is set in the IIS metabase. For details, see Things You Must Know Before Completing Your Topology Design.

Additionally, Office Communications Server 2007 R2 installer creates virtual directories for external access. The following table lists the URIs for the various external access virtual directories and the file system resources to which they refer. The file system folders to which the virtual directories refer are described in Storage Requirements.
