The following procedure shows how to upgrade to the 2007 R2 release of Office Communicator Mobile using Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC).

For computers running Windows Vista, download Windows Mobile Device Center from Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=126907 .

To upgrade the 2007 release of Communicator Mobile to the 2007 R2 release of Office Communicator

  1. Connect your mobile device to the computer running Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) and ensure that WMDC is showing a connection to the mobile device.

  2. Copy the Communicator Mobile for Windows Mobile installation package to a folder on your local computer, and then double-click the file to start the installation process.

  3. Click Next, read and then accept the license agreement.

  4. Specify the location where Communicator Mobile for Windows Mobile is to be installed.

  5. Click Nextto start the installation, and if a User Account Control dialog appears, click Allowto continue the installation.

  6. When asked if you want to proceed with the upgrade, click Yes.

  7. Click OK, and then check your mobile device for additional tasks.

  8. On your computer, click Closeto end the installation program.

  9. On your mobile device, click OKwhen asked to confirm removing the 2007 release of Communicator Mobile.

  10. On your mobile device, click Done.
