These updates are required to provide proper coexistence between Live Communications Server and Office Communications Server 2007 R2. These updates must be installed on all servers running Live Communications Server, including the Back-End Database Server for an Enterprise pool.
For performance reasons, we recommend that you move the Live
Communications Server Global Settings to the Configuration
container in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). You
must take this action prior to performing any other Office
Communications 2007 R2 installation actions. If you do not take
this step now, you will not be able to take it after you begin
deploying Office Communications Server 2007 R2. For details, see
