It may be necessary to change the credentials for the service account that is running the Group Chat services if an account name or password changes. You can make this change by using the Group Chat Server Configuration Tool.

To change Channel Server or Lookup Server credentials

  1. Open the Group Chat Server Configuration Tool.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • To change the credentials for the Channel Server, under Channel Server, click Change.

    • To change the credentials for the Lookup Server, under Lookup Server, click Change.

  3. Specify the new credentials, and then click OK.

  4. To update the status, click Refresh.
