The new Team Call feature in Office Communications Server 2007 R2 makes it possible to forward incoming calls to a defined team. When a team-call group receives a forwarded call, each member’s phone rings, and all members can see who forwarded the call. When a team member answers the call, the phones of all other members stop ringing.

Required Components

The following list describes the components that are required to implement the Team Call feature:

  • Office Communicator 2007 R2: The Team Call feature is available in the Call-Forwarding Settingsdialog box. You can set up a group of contacts, referred to as a team-call group, who can answer your incoming calls.

  • Enterprise Voice: Users must be enabled for Enterprise Voice in order to be members of a team-call group.
