Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant Group Policy

One way to provide the appropriate registry settings for each user when you are deploying Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant is to define Group Policies by using an administrative template (.adm) file. The Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant Group Policies are included in the Office Communicator 2007 R2 Group Policy template (communicator.adm).

You can deploy Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant group policies without affecting users who are running Communicator 2007 R2. This section introduces the Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant Group Policies.

SafeTransfer	Attendant - Safe Transfer	Enables or disables the safe transfer feature in Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant and prevents the user from changing this setting in Attendant Options. With Safe Transfer enabled, transfers reappear in the incoming area with a Failed Transfer notification when they do not reach their intended recipient. If this policy is set to zero, Safe Transfer is turned off, and the user setting in Options is disabled. If this policy is set to a nonzero value, Safe Transfer is turned on, and the user setting in Options is disabled. If this policy is not set, the user can change the setting in Options.
MusicOnHoldDisabled	Attendant - Music On Hold Disabled	Enables or disables Music on Hold in Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant and prevents the user from changing the setting in Attendant Options. If this policy is set to a nonzero value, Music on Hold is disabled, and the user setting in Options is disabled. If this policy is not set or set to zero, Music on Hold can be configured by the user (default: no Music on Hold), unless MusicOnHoldAudioFile is set. Note: When MusicOnHoldDisabled is set and is nonzero, and MusicOnHoldAudioFile is also set, Music on Hold is disabled (MusicOnHoldDisabled takes precedence).
MusicOnHoldAudioFile	Attendant - Music On Hold Audio File	Enables or disables the ability for the user to specify the Music on Hold file in Attendant Options by forcing the choice of Music on Hold file to a specified value. If this policy is set, the string specifies the file to use for Music on Hold. Music on Hold is forced on with this audio file, and Options is disabled. The file that is forced on Music on Hold must be available to all computers on which this policy applies. Such a file can be put on a file share that these computers can access. If this policy is not set, the user can change the setting in Options, unless MusicOnHoldDisabled is set. Note: When MusicOnHoldDisabled is set and is nonzero, and MusicOnHoldAudioFile is also set, Music on Hold is disabled (MusicOnHoldDisabled takes precedence).
DisableBalloonWarning	Attendant - Disable Balloon Warning	A Windows notification area balloon notifies the user of events when Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant is hidden. If the balloon notification is disabled by policy, a warning is displayed in Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant that indicates that the user won't be notified by a balloon. This policy prevents that warning from being shown to the user. If this policy is set and is nonzero, the warning is not shown. If this policy is not set or set but zero, the warning is displayed to the user.
