Monitoring Server has default thresholds for factors that can affect media quality. If you use Systems Center Operation Manager with the Office Communications Server Management Pack, Monitoring Server generates an alert when these thresholds are exceeded.
You can use the procedures in this section to do the following:
- Select one or more locations and specify customized thresholds
for them.
- Modify the default thresholds used by all locations for which
you have not set customized thresholds.
- Edit the thresholds used for A/V Conferencing Servers and
Mediation Servers.
If you are not using the Office Communications Server Management Pack, these threshold settings have no effect and you do not need to configure them.
To customize or edit threshold settings for locations, you must configure them on the Monitoring Server. You cannot perform these tasks remotely.
