In Communications Server 2010, the Web-based Communications Server Control Panel replaces the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) interface from previous versions. Communications Server Control Panel provides you with a graphical user interface (GUI) to manage the configuration of the Communications Server servers, users, clients, and devices in your organization. Communications Server Control Panel uses Communications Server Management Shell as the underlying mechanism to perform Communications Server configuration.
Communications Server Control Panel is automatically installed on every Communications Server Enterprise Edition Front End Server or Standard Edition Server. In this release, you administer Edge Servers remotely.
