Connecting to Other Messaging Systems

Start a Connector

Starting a connector involves starting the services associated with the connector. You can configure the connector services to start automatically when the server is started. For more information, see your Windows 2000 documentation.

Note   By default, connector services use a Windows 2000 account called LocalSystem to access Windows 2000 resources. If you change the connector service account, you must provide proper permissions to the new account.

To start a connector:

  1. Start Services
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
  2. Right-click the services used by the connector, and then click Start.
  3. Tip   To stop a service, right-click the service, and then click Stop.

The following table shows the services that are used by the different connectors.
