Verify Server and Connector Status

You can view the list of servers in your organization and their current status to ensure that your servers are operating. You can also verify that the connectors you have established between servers are available to transmit messages.

Note   If you set warning and critical state thresholds to monitor server resources, the server status will display a warning or critical state icon if thresholds are met or exceeded. You can access server monitors from the same window in which you verify server status.

To verify server and connector status:

  1. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring and Status.

    Tools

    1. Monitoring and Status
  3. Click Status. All connectors and servers in your organization are listed in the details pane. They are identified by administrative group and display a status of Available or Unreachable.

Tip   If you have just created a connector and it is not listed in the details pane, right-click the details pane, and then click Refresh.
