Enable Logging in an ASCII Text Format

The ASCII format options are: W3C Extended log file format, Microsoft IIS log file format, and NCSA log file format. W3C Extended and NCSA formats will record data in a four-digit year format, while the Microsoft IIS format uses a two-digit year format and is provided for backward compatibility with earlier systems.

To enable logging that uses an ASCII text format:

  1. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to the SMTP virtual server.
