The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool reads the following registry entry to determine whether debugging has been enabled on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem\BreakOnEvent

If the Exchange Server Analyzer finds that a value has been set for the BreakOnEvent registry value, the Exchange Server Analyzer displays a warning.

The BreakOnEvent registry value holds decimal values that specify which store events trigger the debug mode of the Microsoft Exchange Information Store. The Microsoft Exchange Information Store uses many resources when it runs in debug mode. It is not a best practice to debug the store in a production environment.

Unless you are actively troubleshooting an Exchange Information Store issue with the aid of Microsoft Product Support Services, you should delete the BreakOnEvent registry value.
