Use the Remove-IPBlockListProvider cmdlet to remove the configuration information for a specific IP Block list provider on a computer that has the Edge Transport server role or the Hub Transport server role installed.

Syntax

Remove-IPBlockListProvider -Identity <IPBlockListProviderIdParameter> [-Confirm [<SwitchParameter>]] [-DomainController <Fqdn>] [-WhatIf [<SwitchParameter>]]

Detailed Description

The IP Block list provider is used by the Connection Filter agent. The Connection Filter agent acts on the IP address of the remote server that initiates the SMTP connection to determine what action, if any, to take on an incoming message.

Parameters

Parameter Required Type Description

Identity

Required

Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.IPBlockListProviderIdParameter

The Identity parameter specifies the IP Block list provider. You can use one of the following values:

  • The name of the IP Block list provider (a string value)

  • GUID

Confirm

Optional

System.Management.Automation.SwitchParameter

The Confirm switch can be used to suppress the confirmation prompt that appears by default when this cmdlet is run. To suppress the confirmation prompt, use the syntax -Confirm:$False. You must include a colon ( : ) in the syntax.

DomainController

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Fqdn

The DomainController parameter specifies the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the domain controller that writes this configuration change to Active Directory. The DomainController parameter isn't supported on the Edge Transport server role. The Edge Transport server role writes only to the Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) instance.

WhatIf

Optional

System.Management.Automation.SwitchParameter

The WhatIf switch instructs the command to simulate the actions that it would take on the object. By using the WhatIf switch, you can view what changes would occur without having to apply any of those changes. You don't have to specify a value with the WhatIf switch.
