Use this checklist to create a new tenant organization.

Before you start working with this checklist, make sure you're familiar with the concepts in Understanding Service Plans and Mailbox Plans.

(Optional) Create a Service Plan for a Tenant Organization

This step includes defining the properties for a mailbox plan. If you already have service plans in place, you can skip this step.

 

(Optional) Add a Service Plan to the Service Plan Map

If you already have service plans in place, and they’re already mapped, you can skip this step.

Copy the service plans and service plan maps across all Client Access servers.

 

Verify a New Service Plan

 

Create a Tenant Organization

 

(Optional) Configure Tenant Organizations for Cross-Premises Communication

If the tenant organization isn't being deployed cross-premises, you can skip this step.
