Use the Get-Notification cmdlet to view Exchange Administration Center notifications. This cmdlet is used by the Exchange Administration Center to display notification messages and shouldn't be run in the Exchange Management Shell.

You need to be assigned permissions before you can run this cmdlet. Although all parameters for this cmdlet are listed in this topic, you may not have access to some parameters if they're not included in the permissions assigned to you. To see what permissions you need, see the "Exchange Administration Center configuration settings" entry in the Exchange and Shell Infrastructure Permissions topic.

System.Management.Automation.SwitchParameter

The Settings parameter specifies that the command returns the values for the ProcessType and NotificationEmail parameters on the Set-Notification cmdlet. You can only use this switch when the ProcessType parameter value is set to CertExpiry.

DomainController

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Fqdn

The DomainController parameter specifies the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the domain controller that retrieves data from Active Directory.

Identity

Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.EwsStoreObjectIdParameter

This parameter is reserved for internal Microsoft use.

Organization

Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.OrganizationIdParameter

The Organization parameter is reserved for internal Microsoft use.

ProcessType

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.Management.AsyncOperationType

The ProcessType parameter specifies the type of process that you want to view notifications for. This parameter accepts the following values:

  • Unknown

  • ImportPST

  • ExportPST

  • Migration

  • MailboxRestore

  • CertExpiry

ResultSize

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Unlimited

The ResultSize parameter specifies the maximum number of results to return. If you want to return all requests that match the query, use unlimited for the value of this parameter. The default value is 1000.

StartDate

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.ExchangeSystem.ExDateTime

The StartDate parameter specifies the start date and time for the query.

Use the short date format defined in the Regional Options settings for the computer on which the command is run. For example, if the computer is configured to use the short date format mm/dd/yyyy, enter 03/01/2010 to specify March 1, 2010. You can enter the date only, or you can enter the date and time of day. If you enter the date and time of day, you must enclose the argument in quotation marks ("), for example, "10/05/2010 5:00 PM".
