Use the Enable-JournalRule cmdlet to enable an existing journal rule on a computer that has the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Hub Transport server role installed.

Syntax

enable-journalrule -Identity <RuleIdParameter> [-DomainController <Fqdn>]

Parameters

Microsoft.Exchange.MessagingPolicies.Rules.Tasks.RuleIdParameter

This parameter specifies the rule to be enabled. Enter either the GUID or the name of the journal rule. You can omit the Identity parameter label.

DomainController

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Fqdn

To specify the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the domain controller that writes this configuration change to the Active Directory directory service, include the DomainController parameter on the command.

Detailed Description

The Enable-JournalRule cmdlet enables an existing journal rule to be used by the Journaling agent.

To run the Enable-JournalRule cmdlet, the account you use must be delegated the following:

  • Exchange Organization Administrator role
