The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool queries the Win32_Service Microsoft Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) class to determine the value of the Started key for the Double-Take service. A value of True indicates that the Double-Take service is running on this Exchange Server. If the Double-Take service is detected on an Exchange Server, the Exchange Server Analyzer displays a non-default configuration message.

The Exchange Server Analyzer reports this non-default configuration for informational purposes only. No action is required.

Double-Take, from NSI Software, Inc., copies user-selected files or complete volumes from one or more source servers to one or more target servers over standard network connections. These copies allow businesses to resume quickly after a disaster or a system outage, with or without user intervention.
