The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool displays this warning if it determines that there is a non-standard address space on one or more recipient policies.

A non-standard, or proxy, address space is the address by which an Exchange Server recipient object is recognized in a foreign messaging system.

In earlier versions of Exchange Server, support for non-standard address spaces was the responsibility of the Recipient Update Service.

In Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, the Recipient Update Service is not implemented. It is the responsibility of the Exchange 2007 administrative console to generate proxy addresses.

The administrative consoles must have a proxy-generator DLL loaded for each non-standard address space detected.

Important:
If the administrative console runs on a 64-bit computer, a 64-bit version of the proxy-generator DLL will be required.

To address this warning, contact the vendor that supports the foreign address space to obtain the Exchange 2007–compatible proxy-generator DLL.
