After you remove a Survivable Branch Appliance from your topology, the next step in the process is to remove the Survivable Branch Appliance Computer object from Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). The first procedure in this topic assumes that the Survivable Branch Appliance is in the default Computers container in Active Directory. If you have placed the object in another container, go to that container instead of the Computers container.

To remove a Computer object from Active Directory Domain Services using Active Directory Users and Computers

  1. Log on to a domain controller or an Active Directory member server as a member of the Enterprise Admins group where Active Directory Users and Computers is installed.

  2. Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click Active Directory Users and Computers.

  3. In the console tree, expand the domain where the Survivable Branch Appliance or Survivable Branch Server is installed. Expand Computers, right click the object for the Survivable Branch Appliance or Survivable Branch Server, click Delete, and then confirm the delete action by clicking Yes.

    Note:
If you have moved the computer objects for the Survivable Branch Appliance or Survivable Branch Server from the Computer container to another location, perform the steps in that location instead.
