The following procedure describes how you can configure the Lookup Server settings in the Channel Service view of the Group Chat Server Configuration Tool.

The Lookup service produces a troubleshooting log file located in the installation folder under Logs. You can change the log level of the service dynamically without the need to restart the service. For details about logging, see Setting Log Levels for the Channel Service, Lookup Service, or Web Service.

All servers in the Group Chat Server pool use the server pool to communicate with one another, sharing data and other information such as chat history and Lookup service settings. The pool communications port is used by the server to connect to the server pool. The default setting for this port is 8010.

Note:
Settings made in this view affect only the locally installed Lookup service. For details about changing system wide settings for all Lookup Servers, see All Lookup Servers Settings.
