Use either re-styling or re-templating to change the appearance of Lync Controls.

  • Re-style a control by changing property values to control the appearance of the control.

  • Re-template a control by assigning a new visual template to the control to take fine-grained control over its layout and design.

Note Note

In Microsoft Expression Blend using the command Edit Additional Templatewith a Lync Control will raise the following exception:XamlParseException: Add value to collection of type "System.Object" threw an exception. This is because this action sets the template more than once. The workaround is to close and then re-open the document in Expression Blend.
