Channel Security

You can provide very basic channel security by selecting from the channel modes listed in Visibility to users on the channel's Access tab. Because of their limited visibility, conversations in a Private, Hidden, or Secret channel are more secure than those on a Public channel.

You can promote channel security by limiting channel access to password holders. You can specify these Passwords on the Access tab:

The Access tab also allows you to restrict user access to a channel by:

User Classes and Bans

You can also create a user class or establish a user ban to provide security by imposing restrictions on groups of users or individual users.
