Maintaining and Troubleshooting

Work with Message Queues

To monitor the flow of messages, you should check message queues to ensure that messages are leaving the queue in a timely manner. Once a user sends a message, the message goes to a queue to be fully addressed so that it can be routed through other servers to reach its final destination. If a message is stalled in a queue, the system routing information or connection is unavailable. Queue Viewer is a utility that allows you to maintain messaging queues and the messages contained within those queues. Queue Viewer is available on all SMTP virtual servers, Microsoft MTA (X.400) objects, and all installed Microsoft Exchange Connectors for Novell GroupWise, Lotus Notes, and Lotus cc:Mail.
