Troubleshooting

Recipient Settings

A recipient is an Active Directory object that is mail-enabled or mailbox-enabled. You manage recipients using Active Directory Users and Computers and System Manager. Use Active Directory Users and Computers to manage Exchange-specific properties for mail-enabled and mailbox-enabled objects. Use System Manager to determine the e-mail addresses generated for recipients using recipient policies, to manage the global address list and other address lists, and to view and modify details templates and e-mail address templates.

You may experience specific problems when managing e-mail addresses and other recipient property settings; for example, you may need to create additional e-mail address types for the recipients in your organization.
