A storage group is a set of databases that share a common set of transaction log files. We recommend that you add an additional storage group for each new database until the maximum number of databases that can be mounted simultaneously has been created. For more information about managing storage groups, see Managing Storage Groups and Databases.
The Database Management tab in the work pane lists all the storage groups and databases that exist on the selected server. When you select a storage group, the following storage group-specific actions are available either by right-clicking the storage group name or by using the action pane.
