The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool reads the following registry entry to determine whether version 7.0 of Trend Micro ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange is installed:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\TrendMicro\ScanMail for Exchange\CurrentVersion\Version
The Exchange Server Analyzer then counts the number of files in the quarantine directory used by ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange. By default, the path for the quarantine directory is as follows:
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Smex\Storage\Quarantine
The Exchange Server Analyzer displays a warning if the following conditions are true:
- Version 7.0 of ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange is
installed.
- More than 1,000 files are in the quarantine directory used by
ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange.
This warning indicates the presence of many files in the quarantine directory used by ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange. Trend Micro recommends that you periodically review and clean out the quarantine folder used by ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange.
