The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool queries the Active Directory® directory service to determine the value of the versionNumber attribute for each Exchange Server object. The versionNumber attribute represents the version of Exchange Server that is running on the computer.
The Exchange Server Analyzer also queries the CIM_Datafile Microsoft Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) class to determine the value of the Version key for the STORE.EXE process. If the Exchange Server Analyzer determines that the Version key for STORE.EXE has a value greater than or equal to 1460 and less 1462, a warning is displayed.
This warning indicates that the Exchange Server computer is not running the latest available code for the version of Exchange running on the computer.
