The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool queries the Win32_BIOS Microsoft Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) class to determine the value of the SMBIOSBIOSVersion and ReleaseDate keys. The value returned represents the version number and release date of the BIOS installed on the computer, respectively. The Exchange Server Analyzer also examines the Win32_ComputerSystem WMI class to determine the value of the Model key.
If the Exchange Server Analyzer finds that the value for the ReleaseDate indicates it is more than a year out-of-date, and that the Model key contains any of the following strings, a warning is displayed:
