- The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool has a found a
non-Exchange Server process that is currently using more than 20
percent of the server's available CPU. If a non-Exchange Server
process is using more than 20 percent of the available CPU, an
error is displayed.
- It is recommended that your servers that run Exchange Server be
dedicated to Exchange Server whenever possible and run as few
applications or services as possible outside Exchange.
-
If another process causes most of the CPU use, try one of the following options:
- Turn off the process and see whether the problem goes away.
- Move that process to another server if you can.
- Make sure that the process is configured correctly and look for
any updates from Microsoft and the provider of the process that
address this issue.
- Uninstall the process if you do not need it.
- Turn off the process and see whether the problem goes away.
-
If the process cannot be moved or fixed, the server should be rescaled to allow for the added load of the non-Exchange Server process. You should consider moving users to another Exchange server as part of this rescale.
