The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool queries the Active Directory® directory service to determine the value for the msExchMaxStoresPerGroup attribute of each storage group. If the Exchange Server Analyzer finds that the value of the msExchMaxStoresPerGroup attribute for any storage group does not equal 5, an error is displayed.
This value applies to all storage groups on the server. This particular error arises if the value of this attribute has been changed from its default of 5. This is the only value supported, and should never be changed. Exchange Server does not function correctly if this value is increased.
You must correct the value using a tool such as the Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) Edit snap-in, the LDP (ldp.exe) tool, or any other Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) version 3 client.

To correct this
error

Start ADSI Edit.

Double-click the Configuration container, expand CN=Services, expand CN=Microsoft Exchange, and then expand CN=<ExchangeOrganizationName>.

Expand CN=Administrative Groups, expand CN=<AdministrativeGroupName>, and then expand CN=Servers.

Expand CN=<ServerName>, right-click CN=InformationStore, and then click Properties.

In the Attribute Editor, click the msExchMaxStoresPerGroup attribute, and then click Edit.

In the Edit Attribute box, set the value to 5.

Click Apply, and then click OK.

Close ADSI Edit, and then restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service for the change to take effect.
