The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool reads the following registry entry to determine if the following conditions are true:
- The Symantec antivirus is installed on the server.
- The following antivirus definition files are updated:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Symantec\SharedDefs\MicroDefs
If the Exchange Server Analyzer finds that the value data for the BinHubStamp registry key has not been updated in more than 30 days, the Exchange Server Analyzer displays a warning.
Symantec antivirus for Microsoft Exchange Server provides antivirus protection for Exchange Server. It is recommended that you download the latest Symantec antivirus definition as soon as it is released. Make sure that you deploy the antivirus definition update to the following layers in your organization:
- Message gateway servers
- Exchange servers
- Client workstations
To download the latest virus definitions, see the Symantec antivirus Web site, "Symantec home page" (http://www.symantec.com).
