The Compliance file repository is a folder where a copy of any file uploaded to the Compliance file repository is stored as part of the compliance system. This folder contains the same files as the file repository folder, although not in the same subfolder structure.

Note:
The Web service must run under the specific user rights and permissions (credentials) in a separate Web service file repository so that it can write to this file repository folder.

To change the Compliance file repository

  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Lync Server 2010 Group Chat.

  2. Open the Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Group Chat Configuration tool.

  3. On the File menu, click Configure Server Settings.

  4. On the left side of the console tree, click System Wide, and then click the Compliance tab.

  5. Under Compliance Repository Settings, type the path to the folder that you want to use for the Compliance file repository. Because this folder will be accessed by multiple services from different hosts, you should specify a shared network folder by using a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path.
