To specify the host and port for connecting to Microsoft Lync Server 2010, in Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Group Chat Configuration tool, click the Lync Server tab in the System Wide view.
This tab contains the following settings:
- Host Identifies the address of the computer that hosts
Lync Server 2010. The identification method depends on the edition
of Lync Server. For Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Standard Edition,
this box uses the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the server.
For Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Enterprise Edition, this box uses
the name of the pool. This address must be the same name that is on
the server certificate.
- Port Identifies the port that is used to connect the
computer running Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Group Chat. To
automatically connect to the correct port, select the Auto
detect port check box. We recommend that you select the Auto
detect port check box.
