Issue On a computer running Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista with Service Pack 2 (SP2), or a previous version of Windows Vista, when you try to install Microsoft Lync Web App, the process fails and you receive a User Account Control (UAC) error.
Resolution Enable UAC by using the following procedure, and then try installing Lync Web App again.
- Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, and
then click OK.
- In the System Configuration dialog box, click the
Tools tab, and then click Enable UAC.
- Click Launch.
- A Command Prompt window opens saying, "The operation completed
successfully." Close the Command Prompt window.
- In the System Configuration dialog box, click
OK.
- Restart the computer.
