The Web service produces a troubleshooting log file. This file is located in the installation folder under Logs. You can use the Group Chat Server Configuration Tool to change the log level of the locally installed Web service dynamically without the need to restart the service. For details about logging, see Setting Log Levels for the Channel Service, Lookup Service, or Web Service.

Settings made in this view affect only the locally installed Web service. For details about changing system wide settings for all Web services, see File Repository Settings.

To modify the log level

  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Group Chat Server.

  2. In the Group Chat Server Configuration Tool, on the Filemenu, click Configure Server Settings.

  3. Click the Web Servicebutton.

  4. In the Log Levellist, select a new log level.
