The audio portion of an Office Live Meeting 2007 can be provided by computer audio, Audio Conferencing Provider (ACP), or Dial-in Conferencing in Office Communications Server 2007 R2.
-
Computer Audio. Audio is transmitted over
the IP network. Meeting attendees participate in the audio portion
of the meeting by using a microphone and speakers, a headset with a
microphone, or an equivalent device. This is the default audio
mode.
-
Audio Conferencing Provider (ACP). Users dial in to a
conference center (for example, with a desktop telephone or mobile
phone).
-
Dial-in Conferencing in Office Communications Server 2007
R2. Users who do not have access to a computer and who want to
join an audio conference hosted on Office Communications Server
2007 R2, can call into the conference using a regular mobile, desk,
or home phone.
Several ACPs are certified partners for Office Live Meeting 2007. These ACPs conform to a predefined standard, which enables them to offer the full set of call control features, as listed in Table 1. You can also use non-certified ACPs or the new Dial-in Conferencing feature with Office Live Meeting, although the full call control features are not available.
