Install Archiving Server on a server that is in the same domain as the Office Communications Servers whose traffic you want to archive.

Note:
If Archiving Server and the Archiving Server database will be located on separate computers, SQL-DMO for SQL Server 2005 must be installed on the Archiving Server computer. If it is not already installed, the Office Communications Server deployment tool will install it when you deploy Archiving Server.

To install Archiving Server

  1. Log on as a member of the Administrators group to the server where you want to install Archiving Server. If you want to activate Archiving Server immediately after installation, you must also log on as a member of the DomainAdminsand RTCUniversalServerAdminsgroups.

  2. Start the deployment tool by going to setup\amd64, and then double-clicking setupEE.exe or setupSE.exe.

  3. Click Deploy Other Server Roles, and then click Deploy Archiving Server.

  4. At Install Files for Archiving Server, click Install.

  5. Review the license agreement, click I accept the terms in the license agreement, and then click Next.

  6. Click OKto install files to the default location.
