Deployment of Microsoft Communications Server 2010 includes preparing Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), deploying the Front End Servers and other core Communications Server 2010 internal components, and then deploying any additional server roles and features that your organization may require, such as external user access and Enterprise voice.
This documentation describes how to deploy Communications Server 2010 in a fresh environment with no existing Communications Server deployment. For information about deploying Office Communications Server Standard Edition in an existing Standard Edition server environment, see the Migration documentation.
