You can use Communications Server Control Panel to prevent new connections to all the Communications Server 2010 services running on a specific computer or to prevent new connections to a specific Communications Server 2010 service.

To prevent connections to all Communications Server services on a computer

  1. Open Communications Server Control Panel.

  2. In the left navigation bar, click Topology.

  3. On the Status tab, sort or search the list as needed to find the computer that is running the services for which you want to prevent connections, and then click it.

  4. Click Action.

  5. Click Prevent new connections for All services.

To prevent connections to a specific service

  1. Open Communications Server Control Panel.

  2. In the left navigation bar, click Topology.

  3. On the Status tab, sort or search the list as needed to find the computer that is running the service you want to start or stop, and then click it.

  4. Click Properties.

  5. Sort the list of services, if necessary, and click the service for which you want to prevent connections.

  6. Click Action.

  7. Click Prevent new connections for service.

  8. Click Close.
