Prepare to Use Lotus Notes with Calendar Connector

Using Lotus Notes with Calendar Connector allows Exchange users to query the free and busy calendar information of Lotus Notes users, and vice versa. To use Calendar Connector with Lotus Notes in an administrative group, you must define a Lotus Notes organization for Calendar Connector to connect to. If you want to connect to the Lotus Notes organization from another administrative group, you must install an instance of Calendar Connector in that administrative group.

Other domains, in addition to the Lotus Notes domain that connects directly to Calendar Connector, may be served by the connector if:

• The adjacent Lotus Notes domain is connected to the original domain (bridgehead domain) using Calendar Connector.
• The domain has a Foreign Domain Document that matches the Notes bridgehead domain.

Note   Calendar Connector cannot route requests to non-adjacent Notes domains.

To use Calendar Connector with Lotus Notes:

1. Create a Lotus Notes user ID.
2. Install the Lotus Notes client.
3. Install an Exchange connector for Lotus Notes.
